Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, a presentation typical of Eastern provincial coinage of the Severan era. The effigy displays the characteristic youthful features of the emperor, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field, running along the periphery of the flan.
