Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style typical of late first-century Egyptian coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Domitian's mature effigy, with a laurel wreath crowning the head. The surrounding legend, partially visible on the flan, identifies the emperor with his full imperial titulature in Greek characters. The flan is irregular and heavily patinated, consistent with a circulated bronze issue of the Flavian period.
