| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, displaying the musculature of the cuirass with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Severan style with short curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΙΝΟϹ ΑΥΓΟΥϹΤΟϹ runs around the periphery of the field. |
