| Obverse description | Bare-headed and draped laureate bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, depicted with naturalistic portraiture typical of the Antonine period. The emperor's features are rendered in moderate relief, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated atop the head. The Greek legend KAICAΡ ANTΩNEINOC runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor as Caesar Antoninus. The overall style reflects provincial bronze coinage of the mid-second century AD, with a broad, slightly convex field. |
