| Obverse description | Bare or lightly draped bust of Augustus facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic provincial tradition with curled hair and idealized facial features. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait in the field, now largely worn and illegible on this specimen. The flan is irregular and shows typical characteristics of locally struck Tripolitanian bronze coinage of the early Imperial period. The portrait style reflects the influence of Augustan official coinage adapted for local civic production at Oea. |

| Reverse description | Tyche of Oea depicted standing or seated, holding a rudder and cornucopia as attributes of civic fortune and prosperity, rendered in a bold but somewhat schematic provincial style. A Neo-Punic inscription reading 'pyln wyᶜt' (meaning 'of the Oeans' or referencing civic magistrates) is distributed in the field around the central figure. The design reflects the bilingual and bicultural character of Oea, blending Hellenistic iconographic conventions with local Punic epigraphic tradition. The reverse die is struck on an irregular flan, with moderate to heavy wear across the high points of the relief. |
