Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered in a bold provincial style with characteristic strong features. The emperor's portrait displays his well-known physiognomy — broad forehead, prominent brow, and heavy jowl — typical of Flavian portraiture. The laurel wreath is rendered with individual leaves visible atop the head. The Greek legend ΟΥΕϹΠΑϹΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ (Vespasian Augustus) runs in the field around the portrait, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.
