Obverse description Draped and diademed bust of Empress Salonina facing right, set upon a crescent, with elaborately arranged coiffure. The effigy displays finely rendered drapery over the shoulders and chest in the provincial Greek style. A circumferential Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field.

Reverse description Standing figure of Artemis, rendered full-length facing with head turned to the right, clad in a long chiton with diplois (double-folded overfold). The goddess holds a long torch diagonally across her body with both hands. At her feet appears a stag or hound. The design reflects the prominent civic cult of Artemis Ephesia, and the surrounding legend proclaims the city's triple neocorate status.
