| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, seen from the front, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in typical provincial style of the mid-third century. A Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is irregular and shows characteristic features of provincial bronze coinage from the Mysian mint of Cyzicus. |

| Reverse description | A multi-line Greek inscription arranged within a prominent laurel wreath, the wreath tied at the base. The text records the name of the local strategos Aurelius Sostratos and the civic title of the Cyzicenes as neokoros, indicating the city's honorific status as a guardian of an imperial cult. A circular Greek legend runs around the wreath in the outer field. The reverse is typical of civic bronze coinage struck in the province of Asia under the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus. |
