Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing right, portrayed three-quarter from the rear, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and scale armor visible on the chest. The effigy displays a strong, mature portrait with short beard consistent with mid-third-century Roman provincial style. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP TRAIAN DECIVS AVG around the periphery of the flan.
