Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, portrayed from the rear, with the emperor's military attire rendered in the provincial style typical of Asia Minor civic coinage. The circular legend surrounds the imperial effigy, occupying the full periphery of the flan. The portrait presents the characteristic youthful features associated with Alexander's numismatic iconography. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze issues of the Severan period.
