Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Mesopotamian civic coinage. The emperor's effigy displays a laurel wreath crowning the head, with drapery visible at the truncation of the right shoulder. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait, partially retrograde. The workmanship reflects the local die-cutting traditions of the Nisibis mint during the Severan period.
