Obverse description Draped bust of Fulvia Plautilla, empress and wife of Caracalla, facing right, with elaborately coiffed hair arranged in waves and gathered at the nape. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage. A circular legend surrounds the effigy, reading ΦΟΥΛ ΠΛΑΥΤΙΛΛΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying her as Fulvia Plautilla Augusta. A dotted border frames the entire obverse field.
