Obverse description Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back in the characteristic Severan style, with a diadem visible atop the coiffure. The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely executed drapery folds visible at the shoulder and chest. The circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field.

Two military standards flank the central group, one on either side, their shafts rising vertically in the field.
