(Translation: Emperor Caesar Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus)
Reverse description Asclepius, the god of medicine, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left, his body rendered in a classical contrapposto stance. He leans on the knotted serpent-entwined staff — the caduceus of Asclepius — which rises beside his right side. The figure is clad in a himation draped around the lower body, leaving the upper torso partially bare, consistent with standard Greco-Roman iconographic convention for the deity. The civic legend of Creteia-Flaviopolis is distributed around the field in Greek characters.
