Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic Severan three-quarter view. The portrait displays the youthful features associated with Caracalla's earlier co-reign period. The Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the bust in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy wear consistent with provincial bronze coinage.

Reverse description Hermes stands facing with head turned to the left, depicted in full figure in the Hellenistic tradition. The god holds a purse in his right hand and a caduceus in his left hand; at his feet a ram is shown, serving as an attribute of Hermes in his role as protector of commerce and flocks. The civic legend of Creteia-Flaviopolis is distributed in the field around the figure.
