Obverse description Bare laureate head of Lucius Verus facing right, with short beard, the wreath rendered in fine detail. The imperial legend encircles the portrait along the periphery of the flan. The effigy is modelled in the Provincial style characteristic of the Corinthian mint, with strong facial features and visible drapery at the truncation. The flan shows the typical irregular fabric of a hammered Provincial bronze.

Reverse description Neptune (Poseidon) seated to the left upon a rock or throne, his semi-draped figure rendered with musculature visible on the upper body. In his extended right hand he holds a dolphin, and in his left hand he grasps a long trident, the shaft of which reaches to the ground. The colonial abbreviation appears in the field around the deity, disposed in two lines or distributed about the figure. The composition reflects the maritime significance of Corinth as a major Aegean and Adriatic trading hub.
