Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Corinthian bronzes of the Antonine period. The portrait presents the emperor in military dress, with the folds of the paludamentum visible at the left shoulder. The surrounding legend, partially legible due to die wear, reads [M AVR] ANTONINVS AV[G] in Latin characters disposed around the bust within the field.
