Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back, with a diadem or stephane visible at the crown. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of Smyrnaean coinage, with fine drapery folds visible at the truncation. The encircling Greek legend names her as Augusta, running along the periphery of the flan.
