Reverse description Tyche, the city's tutelary deity, stands facing left in full figure, crowned with a kalathos (modius basket) atop her head. She holds a ship's rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia (horn of plenty) in her left, emblematic attributes of civic fortune and prosperity. The encircling Greek legend ϹΥΝΝΑΔΕΩΝ — genitive plural for 'of the Synnadeans' — runs around the periphery of the field. The type follows the standard Phrygian civic reverse convention for Synnada during the Antonine period.
