Reverse description The lunar deity Mên depicted on horseback, riding to the right, with a crescent at his shoulders — a hallmark attribute of this Anatolian god. A double axe (labrys) rests over his shoulder, further emphasizing his divine character. The composition is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Phrygian civic coinage of the 3rd century AD. The ethnic legend of the issuing city is inscribed in the field.
