Obverse description Radiate or laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of the emperor Gallienus facing right, rendered in three-quarter rear view, a presentation style characteristic of later provincial Greek coinage. The obverse legend encircles the effigy, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The portrait displays the stylised features typical of mid-third-century Smyrnaean civic bronzes, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder visible beneath the cuirass.
