| Obverse description | Radiate, helmeted, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing left, seen from the rear in a three-quarter back view, the emperor depicted actively bearing a spear in his right hand and a round shield on his left arm. The bust is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Carian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The obverse legend in Greek characters surrounds the imperial effigy, citing the emperor's abbreviated titulature. |
