| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing left, presented from the rear in a three-quarter back view — a distinctive and relatively rare portrait convention used in provincial coinage of Asia Minor. The radiate crown is visible above the head, and the cuirass and drapery are rendered in low relief across the shoulders. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust within a beaded border. The style is consistent with mid-third century provincial workshop production from Caria. |
