Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in the provincial Roman style typical of Achaean colonial coinage. The portrait shows the emperor with his characteristic youthful features, the laurel wreath clearly delineated atop the head. A circumferential Latin legend surrounds the effigy, partially legible due to wear. The flan is irregular, consistent with provincial hammered bronze production of the Antonine period.
