| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian coinage. The emperor's effigy displays a wreath of laurel and elaborate paludamentum over the cuirass, with the portrait exhibiting the characteristic thick-necked, curly-haired physiognomy of Commodus. The Greek imperial titulature legend partially encircles the bust within a beaded border. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze production of the late 2nd century AD. |
