Additional information

Midaeum was a minor Phrygian city whose civic coinage under the Severans represents one of the few material traces of its existence — the settlement is otherwise poorly documented in ancient sources. Issues attributed to this mint are scarce enough that die-sharing studies with neighboring Synnada and Apameia remain incomplete. V.2#1458 is among the rarer civic types for this reign within the conventus grouping.
