Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the Roman provincial style characteristic of the Corinthian mint. The effigy displays the emperor's distinctive beard and mature portrait type, encircled by a Latin legend reading ANTONINVS AVG PIVS along the periphery of the flan. The portrait is modeled in moderate relief, consistent with colonial bronze coinage of the Antonine period. The coin exhibits a heavy green patina with areas of brown earthen deposits, and the flan is notably irregular at the edges.
