| Reverse description | Athena standing facing right, clad in peplos and aegis, holding a spear in her left hand while her right hand rests upon a large round shield set on the ground beside her. The composition follows the standard Promachos-derived Athena type widely employed on provincial bronzes of the Lydian region. The two-line magistrate legend ΚΛΕΟΒΟΥΛΟϹ ΤΕΜΕΝΟΘΥΡΕΥϹΙΝ is distributed in the field, recording the name of the local magistrate Kleoboulos and his dedication to the citizens of Temenothyrae. |
