Reverse description A large agonistic crown, depicted as a prize wreath with a textured, leaf-filled surface, occupies the central field; two upright palm branches emerge from within the crown, symbolising athletic or civic victory. The crown rests on a low base or table, rendered in low relief. The reverse inscription, arranged in multiple lines both within and around the crown, records the magistrate responsible for the issue and identifies the games and the civic community. The composition is characteristic of the Kaisareia Sebasta prize coinage struck by Metropolis in Ionia.
