| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valerian facing right, rendered in three-quarter frontal perspective, with the paludamentum visible across the left shoulder and detailed pteryges at the lower truncation. The effigy displays the emperor's portrait in the standard provincial convention of the mid-third century, with bold, high-relief modelling. The encircling Greek legend occupies the entire periphery of the flan, partially worn but legible around the bust. |
