| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Hostilian (C. Valens Hostilianus Messius Quintus) as Caesar, facing right and seen from the rear, rendered in the typical provincial style of the Bithynian mint. The radiate crown distinguishes his rank, with the paludamentum and cuirass visible at the shoulder. A Greek legend surrounds the bust, reading clockwise around the periphery of the flan. |
