Reverse description Tyche of the city seated left upon a rocky outcrop, her figure rendered in the conventional provincial manner, holding an eagle with wings spread that turns its head to the right. The composition conveys the city's tutelary deity in a pose common to Mesopotamian civic coinage of the Severan period. The reverse legend, combining Greek civic script with a Latin legionary abbreviation, encircles the type. A hole pierced through the flan above the type indicates ancient or later use as a pendant or amulet.
