Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled at the nape in the characteristic Severan style. The empress is depicted with finely rendered drapery over the shoulder. The Greek legend ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ΑΥΓΟΥϹΤΑ curves around the bust within a beaded border, identifying her as Augusta.

Reverse description Demeter, draped, standing left and riding in a biga drawn by two winged serpents, holds a long torch upright in her right hand. The serpents are rendered with sinuous, coiled bodies characteristic of provincial Greek bronze coinage. The ethnic legend ΑΜΟΡΙΑΝΩΝ is inscribed in the lower field and exergue, indicating the civic authority of Amorium, within a beaded border.
