| Obverse description | Draped and cuirassed bust of Geta as Caesar facing right, viewed from behind, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The portrait presents the youthful effigy of Publius Septimius Geta in provincial Roman style. The Greek legend ΠΟ ϹΕΠΤΙΜΙΟϹ ΓΕΤΑϹ surrounds the bust, identifying the prince. The flan is irregular and the surfaces carry a dark olive-green patina characteristic of Carian provincial bronze issues. |
