| Obverse description | Draped bust of Otacilia Severa facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem, rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The empress is depicted with a paludamentum or imperial mantle fastened at the shoulder, visible at the base of the bust. The Greek legend encircles the portrait in the field, identifying her by her imperial titulature. |
