Obverse description Draped bust of Otacilia Severa, diademed, facing right, her hair elaborately arranged and gathered at the nape of the neck. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the mid-third century, with the imperial consort depicted in a regal yet naturalistic manner. The circular Greek legend encircles the bust, abbreviated to identify the empress by her full titulature. A faint dotted border frames the periphery of the flan.
