Reverse description Zeus, the chief deity of the Greek pantheon, depicted standing to the left in a dignified full-length figure, his right hand extended downward holding an eagle and his left hand raised supporting a long sceptre. The composition is a standard provincial type for Phrygian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The surrounding Greek legend, arranged peripherally around the type, identifies the issuing magistrate and the civic authority. The surface shows typical green-brown patination consistent with a bronze provincial issue of this period.
