Alexandria Troas retained the title colonia from its refoundation under Augustus, and its civic bronzes of the Severan and post-Severan period are notable for a localized die-cutting tradition that produced frequent epigraphic anomalies — including reversed legends. This is not a modern re-attribution quirk; the reversal is a confirmed die-cutter error documented across multiple specimens of this Maximinus type, catalogued under VI#4055.
