| Obverse description | Laureate head of Marcus Aurelius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The portrait displays the characteristic curly beard and hair of the emperor rendered in the provincial Greek style. The legend is partially preserved, running clockwise around the bust in Greek characters. The flan surface shows a deep green patina with areas of corrosion consistent with bronze Provincial coinage of the Antonine period. |

| Reverse description | Eagle standing facing, head turned to right, wings spread wide in a heraldic posture, depicted in combat with a serpent coiled around its body. The composition fills the reverse field with dynamic tension typical of Bithynian provincial civic coinage. The partially preserved Greek legend runs around the periphery, referencing the issuing city of Nicomedia. The strike is somewhat uneven, consistent with hammered bronze Provincial issues of the second century AD. |
