Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Achaean colonial coinage. The laureate wreath is clearly articulated around the head, with the portrait displaying the characteristic bearded physiognomy of Marcus Aurelius. The legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan. The flan is somewhat irregular in shape, as is common for provincial bronze issues of this period.
