| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of the emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in three-quarter frontal view, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The imperial effigy displays characteristic military attire befitting the short-lived Severan-era emperor. A Greek circular legend surrounds the bust, identifying the ruler by his full titulature.
