Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the cuirass folds clearly articulated. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, with the laureate wreath rendered in fine relief. The Greek imperial titulature runs continuously around the periphery, bordered by a beaded outer rim characteristic of provincial Moesian coinage of this period.
