Reverse description Hygieia, goddess of health, stands to the right, extending a patera from which she feeds a serpent coiling upward before her. Facing her stands Asclepius, god of medicine, to the left, his figure leaning slightly on a knotted serpent-staff (caduceus). The two divine figures are presented in a symmetrical, facing composition typical of Syro-Palestinian civic bronzes. The ethnic legend of the issuing city appears in the field or along the periphery within a dotted border.
