Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view seen from the rear, a presentation typical of provincial coinage of the Severan period. The emperor's paludamentum is visible over the cuirass. A Greek legend encircles the bust in the outer field, identifying the ruler by his imperial titulature.

Reverse description Zeus enthroned to the left, his figure rendered in the classical Pheidian tradition as commonly reproduced on Phrygian provincial bronzes. The deity extends his right hand holding a patera in an act of libation, while his left hand grasps a long upright sceptre. The ethnic legend of the issuing city runs in the field to the left of the enthroned figure.
