| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, displaying the pauldron and drapery folds over the cuirass in typical provincial style. The emperor's laureate wreath is visible atop his head, with facial features characteristic of his youthful portraiture. The circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and slightly thick, consistent with provincial bronze production of the Severan period. |
