| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Conventus of Ephesus. The imperial effigy displays characteristic late Flavian portraiture with a laurel wreath encircling the head. The Greek legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor with his full titulature. The die work reflects the competent but distinctive hand of a local Trallian engraver working under Roman imperial patronage. |
