Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, wearing paludamentum over cuirass. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Achaean civic issues. The encircling legend in Greek characters names the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic patination of a hammered provincial bronze.

Reverse description Zeus enthroned to the left, depicted as a majestic seated figure holding a small Nike (Victory) in his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The composition follows a well-established Hellenistic iconographic tradition for Zeus in provincial civic coinage. The ethnic legend of the Megarians appears in the field. The coin is heavily worn and patinated, but the principal design elements remain identifiable.
