Reverse description The reverse is entirely epigraphic, bearing a multi-line Greek inscription distributed across the field within a circular border. The legend, spread both around the periphery and in the central field, names the Roman proconsul of Cyprus, Cominius Proclus, and identifies the issuing authority as the Koinon of the Cypriots. The lettering is executed in the Greek majuscule script typical of provincial bronzes of the Julio-Claudian period.
