Obverse description Youthful draped bust of the personified Roman Senate (ΙΕΡΑ ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟϹ) facing right, rendered in the Antonine provincial style with finely articulated drapery at the shoulder. The portrait presents an idealized, beardless visage with wavy hair, consistent with the allegorical representation of the Senate as a collective civic deity on Greek Imperial bronzes. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field. The flan exhibits the characteristic irregular outline typical of Ionian provincial issues of the mid-second century AD.
