| Reverse description | Frontal view of a hexastyle temple facade with six fluted columns supporting an entablature and a triangular pediment, rendered in a schematic provincial style. The temple rests on a stepped platform (krepidoma) visible at the base, and a decorative element, possibly an acroterion, appears at the apex of the pediment. The encircling Greek legend divided around the field reads ΔΟΚΙΜΕΩΝ ΜΑΚΕΔΟΝΩΝ, identifying the issuing city of Docimeum and its claimed Macedonian heritage. The architectural type is consistent with civic temple coinage of Phrygian cities under the Antonine dynasty. |
